AMY WINEHOUSE could face assault charges after allegedly kicking a theatre boss in the groin when he asked her to stop shouting obscenities at a Christmas show for kids.

The Back To Black hitmaker was in the audience of the Cinderella pantomime - a traditional Christmas event in the U.K. - at a theatre in Milton Keynes, England.

But things turned nasty after parents complained that the singer was shouting and cursing throughout the show. She was asked to vacate the audience and move to a private box, but reportedly attacked the manager Richard Pound, according to Britain's The Sun newspaper.

Winehouse allegedly pulled the theatre boss' hair, lashed out at him and kicked him in the crotch, before her burly security guards carried her flailing out of the theatre.

Pound has decided to file an official complaint with local Thames Valley police, who confirm that they are investigating the incident.
