Aussie cricketer Shane Warne made a flying visit to the UAE en route to Australia. Warne stopped off for a short sojourn before jetting off to Melbourne to meet up with his fiancée Elizabeth Hurley, who has just wrapped filming Turquoise in Moscow.
Last week saw the arrival of comic brothers Marlon and Shawn Wayans, who loved Dubai so much so they extended their trip before heading back to New York for a film premiere. They gave a big shout out to the Kempinski Hotel, who gave them star treatment!
Anyone for tennis? Team Ahlan! are really excited that British Tennis champ Tim Henman is heading to Abu Dhabi to play in ‘Racket Week’ from July 13 to 15. Open to over-14s only, competitions will include men’s doubles and mixed doubles.

We’re told owner Russian owner, Arkady Novikov, is on the hunt for a venue in the UAE, meaning the A-List patrons who frequent his Mayfair, London haunt (including Britain’s Prince Harry, Rihanna, Russell Crowe and Lara Stone) could well be on the invite list for their grand opening.
