Adele's record-breaking run on the U.S. album chart has been extended - she has become the first act to sell over a million copies of an album in two different weeks since Nielsen began tracking sales data in 1991.
Her comeback release, 25, rocketed to the top of the Billboard 200 last weekend with a record-setting 3.38 million sales, and the soulful Brit is still on top thanks to another one million-plus sales week. And she still has the weekend before the official new chart is released on Sunday.
25, the follow-up to Adele's album 21, was released on 20 November. It sailed past the previous single-week sales record, set by 'N SYNC's No Strings Attached in 2000, in just three days.
