Actor Gene Wilder Passes Away at 83
Gene Walder, famous for playing magical and lovable characters like Willy Wonka in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, and Dr. Frankenstein in Young Frankenstein, passed away this month. The actor sadly died due to complications linked with Alzheimer’s disease.
The legend started his career in a series of TV plays in 1960, before landing the role of Eugene Grizzard in Bonnie & Clyde in 1967. His film credits include memorable flicks like The Woman in Red, Silver Streak and Stir Crazy.
Walder became reserved in his older years, and only starred in his own show, Something Wilder in the mid-1990s and Will & Grace in 2002.
