Who fancies a star gazing Iftar this Ramadan?

15 May 2019

Picture time!

Iftars across the UAE during Ramadan can pull out all the stops when it comes to being super glamourous and fancy, and while we're totally here for this, we also love a quirky and different experience.

So imagine our excitement when we learned that historic archaeological site in Mleiha Sharjah is hosting a star gazing Iftar at the Ramadan Star Lounge. Expect to break your fast in a cosy custom-built Ramadan tent that's beautifully lit to set the mood, followed by a romantic stargazing session afterwards. Dreamy.

You can also choose between sitting under a shaded canopy, and for small groups or families looking for privacy, there will be an open area at the archaeological centre for you.

The Iftar menu includes a set of traditional Middle Eastern cuisine and treats like Biryani, mixed grilled BBQ, Arabic sweets, dates and more. This is followed by a tour led by a professional guide around the Archaeological Museum, to explore the region's rich history and culture. The Ramadan Star Lounge Iftar is priced at Dhs175 for adults and Dhs100 for children.

Oh, and there's also an option for a dune drive experience for Dhs50 per person after Iftar. Nice touch.

Iftar is available daily from sunset. To book your star gazing experience, call (+971) 50 210 3780 or visit @discovermleiha on Instagram.

See you on the sand.
