A-List Favourite, CATCH New York is Coming to Dubai!

It looks like the charm of Dubai is clearly rubbing off on the Big Apple, with yet another New York hangout coming to our shores in the form of celeb favourite, CATCH. The A-list eatery, frequented by the likes of David Beckham and international superstar couple Jay-Z & Beyoncé in the trendy Meatpacking District in Manhattan, specialises in putting a contemporary spin on classic dishes, with a central focus on seafood.

At the helm of the famed restaurant is executive Chef Hung Huynh, winner of acclaimed US cooking competition reality show Top Chef and a veteran of top New York establishments including Lespinasse and Per Se, who is renowned for his expansive knowledge of international cuisine.

Classic dishes include the tableside torched CATCH Roll with crab, salmon and miso honey, salmon belly Carpaccio with watercress and sweet and sour onion and chilled seared tuna with shitake escabeche, truffle and fresh yuzu.

As is the trend, the focus is on sharing, with the dramatic flair of dishes being prepared in the open kitchen, adding to the multi-sensory entertainment factor, which is the brainchild of EMM Group, one of New York’s leading restaurant organisations led by hospitality veterans Eugene Remm and Mark Birnbaum. Set to open in February, the restaurant's location at the Fairmont on Sheikh Zayed road, will mark the company's first international expansion.

“We have nurtured CATCH New York and seen it grow into a brand that appeals to the contemporary diner in search of a complete dining experience," said EMM Group Partner, Eugene Remm.
"From the menu itself to the unique service style and the energy that permeates the dining room, the brand is inherently global and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to enter the established Dubai hospitality market."
