64 people have been arrested for breaking quarantine rules
A reported 64 people have been arrested for breaking the self-quarantine rules in the UAE - and have been referred to public prosecution.
The 64 people had been instructed to self-isolate by authorities after they had come into contact with existing COVID-19 patients.
The people did not adhere to the quarantine rules, and are now charged with breaching the federal law on fighting communicable diseases.
Anyone who is found to not comply with the mandatory 14-day quarantine will be apprehended, the UAE Attorney General has said.
