The latest offering from Tim Burton, <Big Eyes> profiles the painter Margaret Keane (Amy Adams), who found fame in the Fifties with her creepy pictures of doll-like doe-eyed children. When her husband, Walter, took all the credit for her work, she faced a tough courtroom battle to prove him wrong, and went on to win commissions from Hollywood icons Joan Crawford and Natalie Wood, as well as from Burton himself – he’s a massive fan.
