Get ready for a rap-happy October, people! 50 Cent will be in Dubai for the Atelier/Festival on Friday 19 October at Meydan, performing with his band G-UNIT.

50, who took on Kim Kardashian and Kanye West recently (calling Kim K "trash" in an interview), will join several other Grammy-winning artists (expected to be named later) at the fall edition of the fest. Expect the entertainer to perform his latest hit New Day as well as tracks from his soon-to-be released album Street King Immortal.

Of course, this isn't 50 Cent's (real name Curtis Jackson) first trip to the city. He last performed in Dubai at the Media City Amphitheatre in 2007. In August 2011, 50 was in talks with organisers of the Shoppiesta Festival to perform at the event, but negotiations broke down leading to a cancellation.

INFO: Tickets priced Dhs300 (standard), Dhs700 (including access to the VIP area and Dhs700 worth of food and beverage vouchers), Dhs1,250 (Platinum, including access to the Platinum Lounge, a VIP area with unlimited premium food and beverage; limited to 1,000 people only); 9pm onwards, Friday 19 October; www.theatelierworld.com.
