See Morcheeba’s Skye & Ross
Nineties electronica Brit band Morcheeba made it big on the UK music scene with their second album Big Calm in ’98. Fragments of Freedom and Charango followed, reaching sixth and seventh place in the UK charts, and then they split for a while before reforming and releasing albums right up to 2013. Now two of the band are heading to Dubai – Skye Edwards with her liquid gold vocals and and Ross Godfrey on beats, scratches, guitar and keyboards. Their set will include Otherwise, The Sea, Trigger Hippie and, our fave, Part of the Process.

DINE WITH DACOSTA IN DUBAI
Quique Dacosta, one of the world’s top 50 chefs and a leader of the Spanish culinary scene, has collaborated with Enigma restaurant at the new Palazzo Versace Dubai for their first mystery dining season. There will be four per year, with the chef and menu changing each time – the first season will be called Vanguard, and with Dacosta setting the tone for this new concept, it’s going to be the finest dining experience Dubai has ever hosted. At the time of going to press, we know very little of the menu – we heard the word ‘eggs’ mentioned – but it will doubtless be a masterpiece with perfectionist Dacosta planning it. His Dénia restaurant in Spain holds three Michelin stars and is currently number-39 on the World’s Best Restaurant list; here dishes include ‘tobacco leaf and toro’, a culinary sculpture of tuna sashimi on a bed of flavoursome smoked kelp.
