Barasti's Pink in the City Ladies' Night
Free-flowing Yellow Tail bubbles and lots more between 7.30pm and 10pm for just Dhs50!
THE DO: Barasti, that byword for sand-worshipping party people in Dubai, is adding a special colour to its repertoire. With its new ladies' night, the female population of Dubai will think pink. The legendary venue will be celebrating all things girly with pride at its new Pink in the City ladies' night every Tuesday. Expect to get your groove on as DJ Venus spins classics from female music legends – we can almost hear Madonna, Adele, Lady Gaga, Bey and RiRi hollering already! And while this ladies' night is all about the ladies, there's room for guys too – they get to join in after 9.30pm.
INFO: Barasti, Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina, 04 318 1398, www.barastibeach.com; open 11am to 1.30am on weekdays and until 2.30am on weekends.

Horizon Lounge
Ladies get three glasses of bubbly and a platter of strawberries from 6pm to 10pm.

As well as the complimentary bubbles and strawberries, there’s a sushi station, barbeque and shisha. DJ Serhan provides the tunes (mainly commercial house with a few classic dance floor-fillers thrown into the mix), while the awesome views beyond the infinity pool come courtesy of the Gulf. Channel Ibiza glam (anything that shows off your tan!) to wow the cool crowd at this Balearic-style bar.
INFO: Habtoor Grand Resort & Spa, Dubai Marina, 04 399 5000, www.grandjumeirah.habtoorhotels.com; open daily 10am to 2am.

Voda Bar
Unlimited beverages for ladies from 9pm until 12am.
THE DO: The crowd in this sophisticated bar and ultra lounge is as ice cool as the chic minimalist white decor, so wear your heels high and your hair even higher. If you’re bringing your man along for the ride (hey, if it’s good enough for Tom Cruise…), make sure he leaves the shorts and trainers at home as the dress code is strictly stylish. DJs Da Sendri (from Nasimi and Trilogy) and Just Lance play soulful house, funk and disco with a few club classics, so while the atmosphere may at first appear a bit stiff, you’ll have loosened up on the dance floor by the end of the night. INFO: Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, Palm Jumeirah, 04 453 0444, www.jumeirah.com; open daily 6pm to 3am.

Half price on signature cocktails for ladies from 7pm to 2am.
THE DO: The buzzy DIFC location and low-key but super sleek interior lend Caramel a cosmopolitan vibe so it’s no surprise that international celebs, including Kim Kardashian and Hugh Grant make this a must-visit when they’re in town. A business hub at lunch time, come six o’clock on Tuesdays, Caramel becomes less work and more play, thanks to slashed cocktail prices for ladies. Order nibbles to accompany your drinks, as the food is first rate, then perch delicately on one of the high white chairs for a clear view over the bustling urban crowd. Caramel’s resident DJ Kirk keeps the atmosphere light with house, R‘n’B and club tracks.
INFO: DIFC, Sheikh Zayed Road, 04 425 6677, www.caramelgroup.com; open Sunday to Thursday 11am to 12am and Friday 6pm to 12am.

XL Beach Club
Complimentary beverages for all ladies from 6pm.
THE DO: What's not to love about XL Beach Club's Champagne, Strawberries & Cream ladies' night? It's set at XL Beach Club at the Habtoor Grand Beach Resort & Spa, which has the perfect location to get your night out with the girls rocking. Think uber plush! Plus, the low white couches placed along the outdoor deck area are super comfy and great to lounge when you take a break from dancing to the top tunes. Get your best designer dress on and get grooving!
INFO: XL Beach Club, Habtoor Grand Beach Resort & Spa, 056 640 6161, xlbc@accentureinvestment.com; open 12pm to 3am everyday.

Free bubbly for ladies from 6pm to 12am, every Tuesday and Friday.
THE DO: We love the dark wood furnishings and quirky artwork in this chic restaurant and lounge almost as much as the fact that you can get free bubbly all night. With a deal this good, it’s no surprise that the venue packs out, so get there early to bag a plum table (the snake tables are fab for larger crowds). On cooler nights, sit al fresco for great views over the fountains, or grab a comfy sofa indoors to chill to house music. Dubbed as a warm up venue for sister bar Boudoir, you can fill up on fizz before heading on for a dance. But even if you’re obeying the school night rule and getting home before the clock strikes midnight, dress as sparkly as the free-flowing bubbly.
INFO: Souk Al Bahar, Downtown Dubai, 04 439 7555, www.margaux.ae; open daily 12pm to 12am.

Al Bahou
Five free drinks all night in Al Bahou, Moroc or Sinatra’s from 8pm to 10pm.
THE DO: Like its adventuring namesake, ladies’ night at Ibn Battuta is all about staying on the move. Start off with live music in the grand lobby lounge, Al Bahou, then migrate to shisha lounge Moroc for stonking views of the iconic Gate, where pop and R‘n’B tracks (Rihanna is a hot fave) help get the party started. Then, If you haven’t had enough, and if you’re still standing, head downstairs to live jazz lounge Sinatra’s, where you can channel your inner gangster’s moll, posing on one of the plush velvet banquettes. The fashion downstairs is as ostentatious as the surroundings so dress to impress and leave your inhibitions at the door. The boys are looked after too, with a bucket of four bevs for a mere Dhs99.
INFO: Ibn Battuta Gate Hotel, The Gardens, 04 444 0000, www.moevenpick-hotels.com; Al Bahou and Moroc, open daily 6pm to 1am; Sinatra’s, open daily 10.30pm to 3am.

Tamanya Terrace
Three free fab new cocktails for ladies from 5pm onwards.
THE DO: A top spot for post-work sundowners and a catch up with your girlies, this venue’s got a great view and super cushy couches too. A fave with the office crowd, you can let off some midweek steam listening to a blend of soul, funk and commercial house from resident DJ AnOn. Whether it’s a guy problem or gossiping about the new girl at work, free cocktails and fun music make this the perfect locale to put the world to rights over a tipple or two. What’s not to love, right?
INFO:  Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Media City, 04 366 9111, www.radissonblu.com; open Sunday to Thursday 5pm to 2am, Friday and Saturday from 6pm to 2am.

Liaison Ladies’ Night at Amika
Free cocktails for ladies from 8pm to 1am.
THE DO: Joining the ranks of Movida and Mahiki, Amika is another VIP club exported from West London. Sadly, you’re unlikely to find Prince Harry and his Kensington pals chilling in the uber-stylish lounge cum restaurant, but you may just bang into some of the TOWIE crew looking for a home away from home. With regards to the locals, only the city’s most glam socialites can get past the velvet rope, and you’ll find the serious movers and shakers on the thrones in the VIP section. But the uplifting house tunes and Tuesday meal deal (Dhs125 for a three-course meal) make it more than welcoming for mere mortals.
INFO: The H Hotel, Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai, 04 354 4005 or 056 7893897 for dinner bookings, www.amikalounge.com; open daily 8pm to 3am.

Slam at Chi@ The Lodge
Free selected drinks for ladies from 9pm to 3am.
THE DO: Often overlooked in favour of the newer, trendier clubs in the Marina, Chi is an oldie, but a goodie, and everyone from Sean Paul to Ciara and Arrested Development have performed in the infamous garden. On Tuesdays, you can bump ‘n’ grind to the best urban and R‘n’B tunes while you quaff free bevs, so bring your besties and your funkiest booty dance. The laid-back vibe means you can dress up or down as you fancy, but if your feet are aching by the end of the night, it’s definitely the kind of place where you can kick off your Loubs sans judgement.
INFO: Chi@The Lodge, Al Nasr Leisureland, 04 337 9470, www.chinightclubdubai.com; open daily 8pm to 3am.

Unlimited free drinks for ladies from 10pm to 1am.
THE DO: A welcome break from the cool, clean lobbies of the city, this Cuban bar and restaurant is all about the hot, sexy Latin vibe. From the graffiti-scrawled walls to the live salsa band, you’re instantly transported to the coast of Havana. Free-flowing drinks for ladies on Tuesdays and Wednesdays soon have the room swaying to the beat of the maracas, while the holiday vibe allows for an equally free-flowing, loose-fitting, beach casual dress code (Panama optional).
INFO: Dubai Marine Beach Resort & Spa, 04 346 1111,www.dxbmarine.com; open daily 7.30pm to 3am.

Caffè Florian
Three complimentary cocktails for ladies every Tuesday from 6pm.
THE DO: Conveniently located next to the always-buzzing Zuma, Caffè Florian’s ladies’ night is a great way to kick-start an evening in DIFC. With three delicious complimentary cocktails to choose from (we love the tangy orange/soda combo in Death In Venice), it’s no wonder the after-work crowd are lining the bar for a tipple. The interior is stunning (huge purple chandeliers and crushed velvet booths), so settle in for some people watching. Come straight from work to catch the crowds, as the fun starts early.
INFO: DIFC, Sheikh Zayed Road, 04 323 1833, www.difc.ae

Chameleon Club
Free bubbly or cocktails from 11pm to 2am.
THE DO: You've got to have a love of all things OTT (or truckloads of tolerance for all things OTT) to enjoy Chameleon Club. There's a massive shining chameleon over the bar, complete with a stuck out tongue, just in case you thought they were being random with the moniker. They don't hold back on the flamingly flashy decor, neon lights or typical tech tunes either. It's like a flamboyant explosion in the middle of Tecom and the place gets mad busy with clubbers who come to dance to the beats of DJs Emtee Pockets and Dany Neville. The craziness of it all is out-of-this-world. If you're in the area, it's worth a visit.
INFO: Chameleon Club, Penthouse, Byblos Hotel, Tecom, 04 448 8000, www.bybloshoteldubai.com; open Monday 8am to 1am and Tuesday to Saturday 8pm to 3am.

Boudoir Ladies' Night
Free bubbly for ladies every night from 9pm to 1am.
THE DO: A veritable institution, a trip to Boudoir ladies’ night is a must do on any Dubai bucket list – if only to quaff the free-flowing bubbles. Don’t be fooled by the sophisticated, Baroque-inspired decor (think plush velvet drapes, gilded mirrors and a jaw-dropping chandelier dangling from the ceiling), this is no stuffy French jazz lounge. The crowd is friendly and the all-welcoming vibe – and generous pourings – keep the dance floor rammed into the wee hours. The tunes are deep house, so don’t come looking for a lyric to warble along to, but the pumping beats will still have you cutting some shapes – especially after a few glasses. Wear your finest threads, as A-list hotties Leo DiCaprio and Orlando Bloom have both graced Boudoir’s banquettes, so you never know who you could bump into.
INFO: Dubai Marine Beach Resort & Spa, 04 345 5995, www.dxbmarine.com; open daily 7pm to 3am.

Three free drinks for ladies from 8pm to 11pm. Five signature cocktails for Dhs5 throughout October.
THE DO: To celebrate the Palace – The Oldtown’s fifth anniversary, the cocktail lounge has come up with this unbeatable offer! We love the always classy and fashion-forward crowd in attendance, the yum Asian tapas menu and the latest tunes spinning in the house. And don’t even get us started on the views – you can’t really do better than sipping cocktails enjoying vistas of Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Fountains. No wonder ‘It’ girl Simone Heng calls this place one of the best ladies’ nights in town.
INFO: The Palace – The Old Town, Downtown Dubai, 04 428 7888, www.theaddress.com; open daily 6pm to 2am.

Empress Night at Embassy Dubai
Three complimentary cocktails every Tuesday from 7pm to 10pm.
THE DO: Ladies’ nights locations don’t come glitzier than this. Perched at the top of Tower Two and spread over three floors, at Empress Night, you can enjoy brill 360-degree panoramic views of Dubai Marina and the Arabian Gulf while you sip on sumptuous cocktails whipped up by the resident mixologist. The in-house DJ provides enough funky beats to heat up the dance floor, which quickly becomes packed with the city’s beautiful people. Equally as stunning is the super girly decor, with lots of pink lighting and uber sleek furnishings.
INFO: Grosvenor House, Dubai Marina, 04 399 8888, www.grosvenorhouse-dubai.com; open Monday to Friday 7pm to 2am.

Mahiki's favourite cocktails served complimentary to ladies every Tuesday from 9pm to midnight.
THE DO: Like its branch in London, Mahiki Dubai is an uber-glam A-list approved watering hole. And while Prince Harry hasn't made an appearance yet, since it opened its doors late last year, the ladies who've been spotted partying at this city hot spot include Lady Victoria Hervey, Katherine Jenkins and Salt 'n' Pepa. So you'll never be short of stylish company here, particularly on Pin Up Tuesdays. One for the honeys, it's packed with spectacular elements – our fave is the always entertaining welcome from the tiki team.
INFO: Mahiki, Jumeirah Beach Hotel, 04 380 7731, www.mahiki.ae; open Monday to Saturday 7pm to 3am.

The Gramercy
Four mixed drinks, plus a bottle of bubbly on your fourth visit, and Dhs40 food dishes from 7pm to 11pm.
THE DO: Ultra chic and uber comfortable all at once, The Gramercy celebrates a vibrant Fifties vibe that you'll want to get in on. And as you'd have noticed, it's all about the number four at this posh DIFC venue. Four complimentary drinks, a bottle of fizz on your fourth visit and Dhs40 worth of grub to start you off. Go ‘fourth’ and enjoy, ladies!
INFO: The Gramercy, Precinct 3, level 2, DIFC, 04 437 7511, www.thegramercybar.com; open daily 12pm to 1am.

Beach House Cabana
Three complimentary cocktails from 7pm to 11pm.
THE DO: Channel your inner Latina diva (we're going to go with Eva Longoria!) at Beach House Cabana's Senoritas Night. Mod, posh and just on the right side of cosy, the hot spot on the Palm offers delish Mexican treats (the fajitas are amazeballs) and affordable drinks. Once you're done with nibbles and sundowners, head to the dance floor for house chart toppers and a blast from the past with hits from the Eighties and Nineties.
INFO: Beach House Cabana, Clubhouse Azraq, Shoreline Apartments, Palm Jumeirah, 04 361 8856; open weekdays 12pm to 12am and weekends 12pm to 1am.

Two free house drinks from 8pm to 11pm and happy hour all night with drinks half off.
THE DO: Beat the midweek blues in a setting that's all about colonial chic and charm. Carter's has a minimalist vibe that's perfect when you need a quiet night out. The first-rate staff won't judge you for wearing flats and will gladly recommend gourmet treats on the menu. Whether you take a seat by the expansive bar, head straight to the dance area or make your way to the terrace for views of the Egyptastic Wafi mall, you'll have a good time at Carter's.
INFO: Carter's, Wafi, 04 324 4100, www.wafi.com; open daily noon to 1am, Thursday and Sunday 12pm to 2am.

Summer Place Restaurant and Bar
Three complimentary drinks for ladies from 8pm to midnight.
THE DO: Get Oriental-inspired at the Summer Place Restaurant and Bar. With chilled Asian tracks setting the mood and chic black-and-dark-red decor, it’s low-key and perfect for a little midweek relaxation with the girls – if you manage to tear your gaze away from the stunning vistas of the Arabian Gulf that this 25th floor venue boasts. To top it all off, the authentic Chinese cuisine is fresh and flavourful. You can skip dressing to impress and go for some smart casuals instead – it’s all about chilling out!
INFO: Habtoor Grand Beach Resort and Spa, Jumeirah Beach, 04 408 4218, info@aacentureinvestment.com, grandjumeirah.habtoorhotels.com; open daily 7pm to 3am.

The Grandstand
Three free selected drinks from 8pm to 11pm.
THE DO: Sink into the cushy chairs, sofas and barstools for a fit catch-up at Bur Dubai's Park Regis Kris Kin hotel. As you'd expect from a sports-themed bar, it's packed with large screen TVs – all the better to watch sporting hunks (our pick's always David Beckham!) in action. Apart from all the telly play, it's on the quiet side, so you can gab with the girls and focus on the screen candy between breaks in the convo.
INFO: The Grandstand, Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel, Bur Dubai, 04 377 1111, www.kris.ae; open weekdays 1pm to 2am and weekends 1pm to 3am.

Long’s Bar
Two free selected drinks from 9pm to 12am.
THE DO: It may not be the glammest locale in the city, and it gets its fair share of sports fans, but the classic sawdust-and-spit vibe and the fantastically cheesy music means it’s always a fun night out. Mondays and Tuesdays, there are two free drinks on offer for ladies, which is a fab excuse for after-work drinks to get you over the midweek hump. The dress code is definitely casual, but a walk around the enormous bar (they don’t call it Long’s for nothing!) can sometimes feel like you’re sashaying down a fashion week runway, so you may want to make a bit of an effort for the people-watchers propping up the bar.
INFO: Towers Rotana, Sheikh Zayed Road, 04 312 2202, www.rotana.com; open daily 12pm to 3am.

Four free drinks (cocktails, vino or sparkling) in Z:One or M-Dek from 6pm to 9pm, plus 30 per cent discount on your food bill at MED when it’s an all-girls table.
THE DO: The circular lounge bar of Z:One is designed for networking, so don’t bother looking for a seat. Instead, the onus is on seeing and being seen – and with a young after-work crowd, there’s plenty of pretty people to look at. The schmoozing spills up on to M-Dek, where you can lounge Miami-style on the plush white daybeds dotted along the pink-lit pool. The dress code is super glam, so get your glitz on for this one (think J-Lo’s uber-bling look) as this Media City sundeck is a hive for models, snappers and other trendy media types about town.
INFO: Media One Hotel, Dubai Media City, 04 427 1000, www.mediaonehotel.com; open daily 11am to 1am.

Abu Dhabi

Chamas Bar
Selected bevs for ladies every Tuesday night from 7pm to 11.30pm.
THE DO: Experience some sensual South American soul at this authentic Churrascaria, where there’s plenty to tempt boys and girls (he can devour skewers of freshly barbequed meat and chicken, while you enjoy the free tipples!) The live Latin band will transport you to the wild streets of Brazil and you won’t be able to resist swaying your hips to the beats. So make like J-Lo and release your inner Latina temptress.
INFO: Intercontinental Abu Dhabi, 02 666 6888, www.intercontinental.com; open daily 6pm to 1am.

Unlimited house vino and one cocktail from 7pm to 11pm.
THE DO: This South American sports bar is buzzing with footie fans most nights of the week, but on Tuesdays the girls take over. Live music by resident duo The Newz and scrummy enchiladas make this a top night out for the capital’s laid-back lasses. Come as you are – you’ll feel equally at home in jeans and a tee as you would in your new LBD.
INFO: Hilton, Corniche Road, 02 681 1900, www1.hilton.com; open Saturday to Monday and Wednesday 12pm to 12am, Thursday, Friday and Tuesday 12pm to 1am.

Free selected drinks for ladies every Tuesday from 11.30pm to 3am.
THE DO: Located in the posh nosh hub of Emirates Palace, Etoiles is broken into three parts – restaurant, club and bar. Make sure your wardrobe fits the palatial surroundings (anything that sparkles is sure to be a  winner) and prepare to cut some serious shapes on the floor, as DJ Enzo (Cavalli/Armani) brings the R’n’B and house tunes. No wonder ladies flock to this place every Tuesday. Who would pass on the offer of free drinks and good music?
INFO: Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi, 02 690 7999, www.etoilesuae.com; open Monday to Friday 11.30am to 4am.

Bliss Discotheque
: Free entry and one sparkling vino on ordering a drink.
THE DO: A quintessential resort disco, the crowd at Bliss is a mix of giddy holiday-makers and seen-it-all-before locals. From Arabic tunes to the latest pop anthems via R’n’B, rock and house, a night in Bliss is a musical odyssey. Ever the crowd-pleaser though, the resident DJ is more than happy to take requests, so you can get your fill of Rihanna, Lady Gaga and Madonna. Prepare to dance until dawn, as the regular crowd love nothing better than being challenged to a dance off by cocky out-of-towners (and no, we didn’t win!).
INFO: Iberotel Miramar Al Aqah Beach Resort Fujairah, 09 244 9994, www.miramaralaqah.ae; open daily 10pm to 3am.
