ASH CLOUD
Take a fat, creamy eye pencil and sweep from the outer corner in, then back. Smudge!

LID TO TIP
Draw a line on the upper and lower lids and go over sockets in pencil. Shade with grey shadow.

GOLD LEAF
Draw a black cat-eye then dab Giorgio Armani’s gold eye shimmer, Dhs255, up past the brow.

Big and Bold
It’s all about weight on the top lid and big bold (bought) lashes underneath. Now flutter!

Black Kohl
Lightly pen the inner rims of your eye and dab on black grey shadow for a rock-n-roll effect.

Heavy Flicks
Take a pointed liquid eyeliner pen and paint on from the centre, sweeping out.

Blended Wing
Line the eye in deep black-brown, then blend brown shadow on the wings

Electric Lines
Draw on your top lid with black pencil. Then double the effect with electric blue on top.

Bat Wing
To get the precise line you need for a lengthy cat-eye, sharpen and re-sharpen your pencil.

Block Party
Wearing eyeliner only? Use a felt-tip pen to draw a streak along the upper lashes

Double Layer
Use a pencil to draw two lines - one on the lid, one in the crease of the lid - then blend.

Super Smudged
Choose inky, deep and not matte black so it doesn't look flat.

Panda Eye
Primer is the essential ingredient. You don't want this makeup to melt, fail or run.

Double Trouble
Use a stiff pointed brush and trace your upper and lower lash lines with jet-black liquid

Gold Rush
Rim eyes in black eyeliner and dab gold eyeshadow on the underneath and upper lids

Silver Surfer
Line inner corners of eyes with L'Oreal Colour Chrome Eyeliner in Silver Lightening, Dhs 38.

Monochrome Tone
Use MAC's Black Track Eyeliner, Dhs 55, on the top lid and line with white pencil.

Green Envy
Colour your eyes with a pencil. We love Urban Decay's offerings in Covet or Graffiti, Dhs 40.

Half Lines
Ann Demeulemeester used black eyeliner half way across the lids and light shadow on the rest.

Neon Lights
Thick black liquid eyeliner and fuchsia pink eyelashes work a treat on light coloured eyes.

Top Heavy
Marker-style pens have a superfine tip and the right amount of firmness to give you more control.

Mud Slide
Rim the eyes in brown pencil and finish with warm copper and gold toned shadow.

Rusty Rims
Black pencil on top, brown on bottom. Make flicks by taking brown from the lower lid, up.

Electric Smudge
Pencil the socket of your eyelid with a blue pencil. Grab a brush and smudge.

Technicolour Coat
Mix it up with two toned eyes. Do a colour top coat, then a lighter bottom shade.

Smoke Mask
Line your upper and lower lash lines with kohl, then shade to an upper point with eyeshadow.

Smoke Signal
Smoke it out by layering and blending a silver line right over black and shadowing.

Inner Lines
To brighten up your eyes, waterline your lower lash lines with a fine pointed pencil.

Cat-Eye
Go over your lines with jet-black shadow. It will save them from melting.

Orange Juiced
Orange rims are fun for a party. Add individual lashes for an eye-catching look.
