22 Jump Street Leaps To Top Of U.K. Box Office
Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum’s new comedy 22 Jump Street has vaulted to the top of the U.K. box office in its opening weekend.
The sequel to the 2012 commercial and critical hit 21 Jump Street which raked in over Dhs730 million internationally, stars the 30 year-old and 34 year-old pair as two cops who go undercover at a high school, raked in more than Dhs30 million in ticket sales, pushing the previous weekend's Angelina Jolie chart-topper Maleficent into second place, with Dhs25 million.
Comic book blockbuster X-Men: Days of Future Past slipped one place to third, with weekend takings of Dhs10 million, and the top five was rounded out by Tom Cruise's futuristic war movie Edge of Tomorrow Dhs7.4 million and Seth MacFarlane's cowboy comedy starring Charlize Theron A Million Ways to Die in the West taking in Dhs3 million.
