Jabas Al Jais to have the longest ziplining in the world

The UAE is set to hold a zipline in the highest mountain in the UAE, Jabal Jais in Ras Al Khaimah. In aims to have the longest zip line in the world, it will be 2.6 kilometres long. At the moment, Zip 2000 at Sun City in South Africa, is currently holding the title.

The soon-to-be famous zipline will open at the end of April and will be via ferrata. Developers are also planning to set up a five-star camp on Jabal Jais, also making this the first in the region. “You have them in deserts, not in mountains” says Haitham Mattar, CEO, Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority. They will also be building a viewing deck with a picnic area, overlooking the port and sea.
