Awards Show

This year’s Oscars ceremony has been more talked about than ever before, thanks to the diversity controversy surrounding Hollywood’s biggest night. Despite big names like Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith shunning the glittering show as an act of protest, the Oscars remain the jewel in the crown of awards season. Once T’Town’s hottest have strutted their stuff on the red carpet – where JLaw hopefully won’t suffer yet another fall – comedian Chris Rock will be the night’s host and Lady Gaga, Sam Smith and The Weeknd will perform their Oscar-nominated songs. Room star Brie Larson is the hot favourite to scoop the Best Actress award, while the world waits with bated breath to see if Leonardo DiCaprio will finally win a Best Actor gong (after five nominations but no wins) for his role in The Revenant. So set your alarms early if you don’t want to miss any of the action, or blubbery acceptance speeches.
INFO: 5.30am, Mon 29 Feb, OSN Movies Premiere HD. If you want to critique all the red carpet fashion, tune into E! News from 2.30am.
