The looks of this Australian-Lebanese, Dubai-based beauty queen may have won her yet more tiaras and titles in 2012, but she’s proving to the world she’s not just a pretty face.
Tell us about your latest crown.
In 2012 I won the title of Miss World Australia. Winning was a very humbling experience. To be chosen among tens of thousands of entrants to represent my beautiful continent was an incredible honour. The final 30 contestants travelled to the Northern Territory in Australia where we camped for four days and competed in events such as talent, top model, charity, beach beauty and sports. It was a magical and unforgettable experience.
You’re in your final year of a double degree in law and business finance – does that surprise some people?
Unfortunately it does! The stereotype of a beauty pageant contestant is always there but it’s up to us to break free from preconceived perceptions.
