UAE's stormy spell to rage on

Winds whipping, dust flying, rains falling!

This was the weather in most of the UAE over the weekend, and it's expected to continue reports Gulf News. The forecast in general is for increased chances of more showers over greater areas today, a National Centre of Meteorology (NMC) spokesperson has said.

Dubai saw strong winds and light drizzle over the weekend, but the weather was more severe in other areas. On Saturday afternoon, heavy rain fell over Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Jebel Jais. There were also reports of hail in parts of Fujairah, mainly in Dibba.

The weather is expected to remain, with clouds and rains covering the country over the next few days. The rainy season here in the UAE typically lasts from mid December till mid February, and residents can expect light to moderate rains throughout this period.
