UAE Passport Is Now The 23rd Most Powerful In The World

Amazing news for UAE passport holder, the Emirati passport has become one of the world's most powerful, ranking in the top 25.

The Emirati passport is now ranked 23rd most powerful in the world, as it offers more ease of travel to its citizens.

The news was declared by the Henley & Partners Passport Index, adding that the UAE has jumped from 27th on the table to 23rd in one year, but has also jumped 38 places since 2008.

The position is worked out based on the number of countries nationals can enjoy visa-free access to around the world, which has jumped from 140 countries in March 2018, to 15 countries in May 2018.

Japan is the country with the most powerful passport, as Japanese citizens enjoy visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 189 countries, with Singapore in second place.

In the last 12 months, UAE citizens have been given visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to the following new countries: China, Ireland, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Uruguay, Paraguay, Guinea, Tonga and Honduras.
