THE TREATMENT: After meeting Khloe Kardashian last week, I couldn’t stop thinking about how much I wanted her ombre hair, so I thought I’d try it out! I arrived at Jetset salon and showed my stylist George a picture of what I wanted. With my natural hair colour being so dark I was worried the colour wouldn’t take but George seemed confident enough. He began by backcombing small sections of my hair and applying bleach to the bottom half of each. The backcombing is to ensure there isn’t a definite line around my head and that the colour looks as natural as possible. Next I sat under a heater for around 30 to 40 minutes while the bleach did its work. George then moved me over to the sink where he began to wash the colour from my hair. This is where I got nervous! George applied a tone to my locks to ensure they didn’t turn orange. Brushing out the backcombed pieces was a bit of a nightmare on my thick mane but he did it carefully and (eventually) the knots were out! Once my hair was conditioned it was ready for the blow-dry and of course the final result!
THE RESULT: Once my hair was dried I got to see the final result and I was really pleased! The colour had come out exactly as I wanted it and the ombre affect looks completely natural! Perhaps I could be an honorary Kardashian sister?
