The UAE has BANNED meat and eggs from this country

The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MoCCaE) has banned the import of all kinds of live domestic, wild and ornamental birds, along with unprocessed eggs from Belgium after a case of avian influenza was detected, reports Khaleej Times.

The ministry is responsible for standardising and supervising food safety procedures in cooperation with the local food authorities concerned.

When a shipment of food products is received by the authorities in the UAE, the documents accompanying the shipment such as certificate of origin, health certificate and the Halal certificate are strictly verified verified by uae authorities.

Due to the ministry's vigilent vetting procedure, Belgium's meat products are no longer permitted to enter the country unti further notice.
