The Dubai Mall is marking the Holy Month with an array of cultural, traditional and charity initiatives.

Iftar packs of water, dates and a Ramadan calendar are being handed to visitors at all Guest Service Desks, and each atrium in the building has been decked in festive decorations.

Headlining the mall’s cultural showcase is Emirati artist Mattar Bin Lahej’s Encyclopaedia, in the Waterfall Atrium, a sculpture created using multicoloured stainless steel circles, each containing information about the Holy Month’s significance.

The Shrine of Prophet Ibrahim (Peace Be Upon Him) exhibit features the cover of the stone that was used during the creation of the Holy Kaaba and is on display in the Souk Atrium.

Live music performances on the oud and qanoon can be heard along Fashion Avenue every night, while weary shoppers can relax with dates and Arabic coffee in the centre’s majlis-style hospitality tents.
