Sex, drugs and rock and roll may seem like a thing of the past for Aerosmith front man, Steven Tyler, but the 61-year-old is still trying to kick a nasty addiction to painkillers.
Steven began using the prescription medicine to ease the pain he suffered from years of injuries sustained on stage and is now in rehab hoping to kick the habit for good. But his stay in the medical facility has forced him to cancel a solo show later in the month. The singer was scheduled to perform a solo show for charity in New Hampshire entitled Dream On, An Intimate Evening with Steven Tyler. The show’s organisers have said they’re looking to reschedule the event once Steven is fully recovered. “Our agency and the people working with the artist's management all agree that we want to reschedule this date. Given the serious health concerns Mr. Tyler is facing, you just can't pick a day, but that's Plan A."
This isn’t the first time he’s had to deal with this addiction. In 2008, the legendary rocker checked himself into rehab for the very same problem and managed to clean up his act in time to perform here in the UAE for the Formula One in November.
