Johnny and I spent the weekend lost in music as we camped out at Blended for the return of the annual two day festival, in support of the Autism Rocks charity. Well, ok we didn’t exactly camp out, but we enjoyed watching and meeting all the artists! On the first day I met British boxer David Haye, who was amazed by Kasabian and the way they literally rocked Dubai Amphitheatre. David told me how he spends a lot of time in Dubai these days, after opening up a gym downtown.

I was also lucky enough to go backstage, thanks to my friend Thomas at Done Events, and catch up with my old friend Craig David, who gave me a warm reception. He told me all about his new life in Miami and we shared stories about how life in Dubai and Miami are similar and how we appreciate the warmer climates.

On the second night, the crowds were treated to a line up Nico and Vinz, Robin Thicke and the legendary Kool and the Gang. We took our little ones to watch the festival, but they fell asleep at 8pm and so I missed out on having a picture with Robin Thicke. I did, however, manage to catch up with him at the Blended after-party, held at the glamorous club Embassy. We had a good chat about the music scene but I must admit he’s a bit of a charmer. The things I do for our Ahlan! readers, it’s a tough job but someone has to do it!

 Radio 2 party at Zengo’s

My friends at Radio 2 invited me down to an event they were holding for their competition winners, on the terrace at Zengo, Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort and Spa. I hung out with Daisy, Kenny, Surina and Danny and Daisy kindly treated me to chips and curry sauce at the end of the night which went down well! I can imagine they were all a bit tired the next morning though, getting up for the Breakfast Show must have been tough!

 #FashionFind

Remember I told you how I found some exciting local designers at the new China Grill Ladies Night, well I wore one of my fave new outfits to Blended. I picked up a couple of these gorgeous printed jumpsuits by Maarli and I have had so many lovely comments about them. They’re perfect for the warmer months and they feel great to wear. As a busy working Mum, they are practical yet fun too. You can pick up one for Dhs295.
