Salon Review: Trevor Sorbie, The Dubai Mall

He’s styled the tresses of Grace Jones, Helen Mirren and The Beatles, and now one of the UK’s most sought-after hairdressers has finally brought his celebrity-approved signature cuts to our shores. More specifically, to The Dubai Mall. One of the best in the business for 50 plus years, Trevor Sorbie has firmly cemented himself as one of Britain’s most renowned hairdressers, responsible for creating some of the most defining looks of the 20th and 21st century including the ‘scrunch’ and the ‘wedge’.

Housed in The Dubai Mall’s Fashion Avenue, the new ladies-only Trevor Sorbie salon boasts a stunning space with rose gold interiors and pretty foliage that immediately transports you from the hustle and bustle of the mall into a serene spa-like environment.

Team Ahlan! were after a subtle trim to tame our grown-out lob, and soft balayage highlights to help lighten our locks for the summer months, and were looked after by two of the team’s superstar stylists – Serena for the cut, and Fiona for our colour. Fiona, we’re told, is the only stylist to score 99 percent on her colour grade, which is judged by Trevor himself. Let’s just say she deserved it, just check out these pictures for the final result. Trust us, your locks will never be the same again…
