At last, all those x-rated stage performances, shameless gyrations and banned videos have finally paid off for Rihanna! The pop tart who's always one dance step away from venturing into the world of 'adult entertainment' has been recognised for her oozing sexuality by the US edition of the men's mag Esquire.
Scooping the title Esquire's Sexiest Woman Alive 2011, the S&M singer beat a host of other beauties, including Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Emma Stone and Beyonce to the coveted award.
Warning to anyone enjoying a cuppa: try not to spit out your coffee, but Rihanna told Esquire that she doesn't even try hard to be sexy when she's performing, despite a show which sees her changing into several barely-there outfits, riding the turret of a big pink tank and routinely pulling fans on stage to give them a lap dance. Really, Rihanna?!
Just 23 years old and rarely seen in trousers, the Umberella hitmaker naturally appears on the cover of this month's US Esquire (and when we say 'naturally' we of course mean 'naked'). In the Esquire interview she said, "At the end of a concert, I don't feel like I've been this sexy thing. Really, I don't even think about it. I mean, unless it's a song that really calls for it, like Skin or S&M, or when I cover Darling Nikki."
So, what about those lap dances, RiRi?
"At first, I was just going to be girls. And then one night, I brought up a guy, and then I started bringing up other guys. Then I started bringing up older men..."
We get the picture, and so do RiRi's fans in Esquire this month with a seductive photo shoot that would make even seasoned Rihanna fans blush. Click here to see Rihanna's Esquire shoot and (literally) mucky video.
