Recycle Your Denim With Gap

What are you plans tomorrow night? Well cancel them immediately, as the lovely people at Gap are throwing an event you don't want ot miss! Head down to the newly re-launched Gap ‘new concept’ store in The Dubai Mall tomorrow evening between 7-9pm for an exciting collaboration with 6 UAE & Kuwaiti artists showcasing in-store artworks created from ‘Recycle Your Blues’ denims.

Just to give you a little more info, September 2015 saw Gap kick start the ‘Recycle Your Blues’ campaign in Dubai and Kuwait through a denim recycling program where customers were able to donate their old jeans at participating Gap stores in exchange for a gift  vouchers to purchase a new pair of Gap 1969 jeans. With 3,300 units collected, the campaign continues by encouraging people to recycle and ‘do more’ with their denim through arts and crafts. Feeling inspired, Gap invited 6 UAE and Kuwaiti based up-and-coming talented artists to create individual and unique artworks from the ‘Recycle Your Blues’ collected denim.

So to celebrate the much-anticipated reopening of The Dubai Mall store, Gap is hosting an in-store event revealing and showcasing the artists’ designs, from artworks to installations. Exciting!  What's more, as a part of this campaign, Gap are partnering with Al Noor Training Centre for Persons with Disability to donate time for meaningful volunteering. For every one person entering the store on the evening of the event, one hour of the Gap teams’ time will be donated to support this great cause.

We'll see you there!
