Prince Harry's Chicken Royale
Britain's Prince Harry enjoyed a late-night Nando's run to celebrate England's World Cup qualification.
The flame-haired royal went unnoticed by customers as he arrived at the chicken outlet's Fulham Broadway restaurant in west London late on Tuesday night 15 October, where he collected his £24.05 order after watching the England soccer side beat Poland 2-0 to clinch a place at the Brazil 2014 World Cup.
Harry waited for more than 15 minutes as his succulent chicken breast fillet in pitta bread with a lemon and herb marinade - which is the mildest flavor the Portuguese/Mozambiquan eatery offers - was being prepared.
A surprised onlooker told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "It was surreal. He was very charming and politely refused a member of staff who approached him for a picture. I was gobsmacked to see him."
The 29-year-old prince added extra cheese and creamy mash potato to his chicken pitta, and his order was completed by a double chicken breast wrap with a medium spice marinade, a regular side of chips, a soft drink and a mineral water.
Harry was joined at the restaurant by an unknown friend and two minders, who were dressed casually, and when he departed the restaurant staff took it in turns to sit in the seat he had occupied.
Another witness added: "Moments after he left the restaurant clutching his dinner in a paper bag a member of staff jumped on the bench the Harry was sitting on and shouted: 'I'm on the Prince's throne!' Nobody could believe what happened."
