Play Onstage with Thirty Seconds to Mars!
Tomo Miličević and brothers Jared and Shannon Leto are Thirty Seconds to Mars

Are you an aspiring musician or singer? You could perform onstage with Thirty Seconds to Mars – the mega-successful rock band fronted by Oscar-winning actor Jared Leto.

There’s still time to enter the #MarsBattleoftheBands contest, being held by concert promoter Live Nation Middle East.

Open to all GCC residents, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance for solo performers and bands to have a shot at the big time by performing one song at the UK rock band’s forthcoming show in Dubai.

To enter, acts must upload a 30-second clip of themselves performing to Facebook or Twitter, using the hashtags #MARSBattleoftheBands and #MARSinDubai, but get cracking  – the deadline’s next Monday!

Shortlisted acts will go before a panel of music industry heavyweights at The Sound Struck Studios in TECOM on Friday, 27 March.

The judges include Live Nation’s Middle East Managing Director, James Craven; its Senior Vice President of Talent, Tyler Mervyn; the CEO of Universal Music Middle East & North Africa, Patrick Boulos; Dia Hassan, lead vocalist of Juliana Down; Virgin Radio host Kris Fade; and a senior Du Live executive.

Together they’ll select five acts and pitch them to the members of Thirty Seconds to Mars, who’ll have the final say on who’ll join them on the night.

Tune in to Virgin Radio’s breakfast show with Kris Fade on Sunday, 29 March for the big reveal.
