One Direction Dubai Concert
Heading In Our Direction

Heartthrobs One Direction are heading to Dubai! Ahlan! can exclusively reveal the hunky fivesome are set to stop over in the city on the way home from Australia and New Zealand after their massive world tour, which kicked off in their native UK last week. It’s set to be a relaxing break for Zayn, Niall, Liam, Louis and Harry after dates in Europe, North America, Mexico, as well as Down Under, but promoters are hoping to persuade them to perform too, so expect plenty of screaming, hysterical fans. As we reported in October, Niall spilled to Ahlan! columnist Kris Fade on his Virgin Radio show that a Middle East show could be in the offing. He said, “We’d love to come to Dubai, you’ll have to talk to government officials,” hinting that the UK boy band were already lining-up a gig. Their last Oz concert is on 30 October in Melbourne, so we expect the lads in town a couple of days after that. Liam, 19, told Ahlan! that fans going to their shows are in for a treat. He explained, “We’ve got a much bigger set, we are going to be a bit more crazy and there will be a bit more fun on the tour, to be honest with you. We’ve got a lot more to work with. We didn’t expect the tour to be Heading In Our Direction as successful last time but it was an amazing success. This time we have a proper stage worked out and we just want to make a really big show to please our fans.”
The group’s latest single, a cover of Blondie hit One Way or Another has been released for UK charity, Comic Relief, and the boys have visited Ghana to meet kids who benefit from the charity cash. They even played football with school kids, and Harry, 19, told us he has a bit of a knack for the language of love, French! He said, “I think it’s most countries, not just here, but I know when I went to school not one person wanted to be there. Then you go into the schools in Ghana and every child loves it and they think it’s fun to learn, and they love to learn new words. At school [in the UK] most people are only interested when it’s lunchtime. And for the kids in Ghana it’s like, ‘When do I get into my next class?’ That is amazing to see, there were 10 year-old kids speaking better French than I do, and I am really good at French. You feel upset leaving them and saying goodbye to them. It’s crazy.” As well as jetting to Dubai later this year, the boys have visited Tokyo, where they filmed part of their upcoming movie, 1D in 3D with top director, Morgan Spurlock. Liam said, “I think the fans can just expect an up-close-and-personal look at us and getting to know the real us.” And while Harry Styles’ fling with Taylor Swift is long forgotten, Niall has split with his girlfriend, Amy Green, 20, after four years. But they revealed there’s just one woman they’re after – Katy Perry. Zayn said, “I think Katy Perry would be a great collaborator for us.”
Can’t wait to see you, boys!
