As Christmas is upon us I’m reminded that its the season for giving, so I’ve been trying to do just that. Last week I got up bright and early to support one of my favourite causes, the Beat Diabetes walk, which took place at Zabeel Park in Dubai. I hosted the day, so I had to get there for 6am to start geeing-up the crowd. Loads of people turned out and everyone was full of energy, so there was a great atmosphere among us all. Diabetes runs in my family, and several of my relatives back in Australia suffer from it, so it’s a cause that’s close to my heart. In the UAE, almost one in five Emiratis has been diagnosed with diabetes, and it’s thought that a further 30 per cent are sufferers but haven’t yet been diagnosed. The walk is fantastic for raising awareness about it and I’m sure that it makes a massive difference, especially since Beat Diabetes offered a free blood-sugar test on the day.

DIFF GIFT MANIA!
Meanwhile, I was delighted to be on the receiving end of some festive donations! I went to DIFF’s VIP Lounge and was speechless at the amount of free stuff A-list celebrities get given. I’m talking about watches, diamonds, sunglasses, clothes… everything! I didn’t get any of the crazy-expensive goodies, but there were a few choice little things I’m gonna be wearing over the holidays!
