Awkward fans, we've got to tell you that there are going to be plenty of OMG moments in season two of the hit MTV show. Ahead of the premiere, Brett Davern who plays Jake on the show revealed that it isn't going to be smooth sailing for him and Jenna, played by Ashley Rickards.

“Jake and Jenna are very much together when season two begins — but that goes south very quickly,” Brett fessed to Hollywood Life.

He added that there are deeper issues on the cards this season. “There’s definitely going to be some heavier stuff than in season one. Jenna’s life is always going to be awkward and filled with struggles.”

In real-life though, Ashley's life is filled with gorgeous threads, stunning shoes and, of course, a new blonde do. We spotted the Awkward actress looking ab-fab at Variety's Annual Power of Youth event on 15 September. She'd debuted her golden locks at the VMAs on 6 September, tweeting a pic of the new look on her way to the show. We're loving the change from her girl-next-door look on the show!

And we're super excited to have the Awkward team – Ashley, Brett and Beau Mirchoff chatting with Ahlan! Live, dishing on season two, their own most awkward moments and lots more. Catch our online interviews with the Awkward cast at 12pm on 19 September.

INFO: Awkward season two premieres at midnight on Wednesday (20 September) on MTV Middle East.
