Rooney Mara, Abigail Breslin, Mark Ruffalo, Jim Sheridan and Naomie Harris will join Cate Blanchett at the 10th Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF). The line-up of A-listers has been revealed for the event which will see 174 films screened.
Rooney, who is best known for her role in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo will return to Dubai after appearing at last year's event. She'll be joined by Little Miss Sunshine herself, former child actress Abigail Breslin.
British actress Naomie Harris, whose films include Bond flick Skyfall 28 Days Later will also walk the red carpet. She's just appeared in Nelson Mandela biopic Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom. Hunky actor Mark Ruffalo, whose films inlcude The Avengers and 13 Going on 30 is also coming.
DIFF will present its Lifetime Achievement Award to multi Emmy and Golden Globe winner Martin Sheen, while Australian actress Cate Blanchett will head the IWC Filmmaker Award jury for the second year running.
Omar by Academy Award-nominated Palestinian director Hany Abu Assad will raise the curtain on the festival, while the star-packed American Hustle has been picked for the closing night gala. DIFF will be the first festival to screen the film, which stars Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Louis CK and Robert De Niro.
The place to star spot will be the Madinat Jumeirah Arena, which will hold two red carpet events daily, while movies are also being shown at VOX Mall of the Emirates.
