It's been in the making for about a decade, and now the Louvre Abu Dhabi is finally ready to open its doors to the public this Saturday, 11/11.

With only four days to go until the grand opening, its no surprise that online tickets to the event have completely sold out!

Ticket sales
Khaleej Times reports that according to the museum's helpline, around 4,000 tickets have already been sold online for the much-anticipated opening.

Don't worry though, Louvre management has stated that 1,000 more tickets will be available on the day at the museum's entrance, so best get there early if you want to be one of the first people in the world to see Abu Dhabi's latest art attraction.

Inaugration and opening
The Louvre Abu Dhabi will be inaugrated tomorrow, November 8 and will see a host of VIPs on the event at Saadiyat Island, including French President Emmanuel Macron.

The opening of The Louvre will see four days of celebrations in the UAE capital. Headlining artists include Ibrahim Maalouf, Fatoumata Diawara, Matthieu Chedid and Toto la Momposina. Tickets for the opening show by Chedid on November 11 and Momposina on November 13 have already sold out according to ticketing staff. 

On November 11, opening day, a light and video theatre performance by French pyrotechnic wizards Group F will take place, captivating onlookers.
