Lisa Scott-Lee Goes to Hatta Fort Hotel
My family and I decided to drive over to Hatta for a short break. We stayed at the JA Hatta Fort Hotel, which is nestled in the impressive Hajar Mountains. It’s a step away from the hustle and bustle of city life and perfect for relaxing. The 34-year-old hotel is full of charm and we received the warmest welcome! It’s mainly made up of quaint individual chalets with Arabic décor. The mountain backdrop is breathtaking and we really enjoyed exploring the various walks and viewpoints. The children loved that there was so much wildlife roaming freely, from peacocks to goats; you can also feed the deer and take camel rides. It felt like a million miles away, but it took less than two hours' drive to get there. It’s stunning. INFO: Prices are seasonal, we paid Dhs700 per night for a family chalet for four, Hatta Fort, jaresortshotels.
