Kylie Minogue Gets Hitched, Professor Green Gets Ditched
It's been a rough time in Tinsel Town for some celebs
Tinsel Town can be a fickle place for love, just ask Professor Green and Millie Mackintosh or Kylie Minogue. While unlucky-in-love Kylie seems to have finally found Mr Right, Millie and Professor Green have separated, just two years after marrying in a lavish summer wedding.
And That’s a Rap
Rapper Green, real name Stephen Manderson, and reality-star-turned-fashion-designer Millie wed in September 2013 at Babington House in Somerset, England. In a joint statement to the Daily Mirror newspaper, the couple said: “It’s with sadness and regret that we confirm our separation. It’s a mutual decision, we still care deeply about each other and would like it to be known that it is on amicable terms and we wish each other well.” Neither of them has yet filed for divorce, the newspaper reported.
Ships in the Night
Rumours of a break-up have dogged the couple for months, and intensified recently as Green revealed that the pair are like “ships in the night” and barely spend any time together due to their busy schedules. The pair jetted off on an alleged make-or-break holiday to Italy at the end of January in an effort to salvage their relationship, with both Millie and Green posting loved-up images on social media throughout the trip. Despite finding fame on Channel 4 reality series Made In Chelsea, which followed rich socialites around London, Millie was notoriously private over her relationship with Green. She reportedly quit the show after being pressured to feature her relationship, and subsequent marriage, in front of the cameras. Neither Millie nor Green have made mention of their split on their social media accounts.
Kylie Lucky in Love
Things are a lot rosier for Kylie and her actor boyfriend Joshua Sasse who have confirmed their engagement in the marriage section of Britain’s Daily Telegraph. The 47-year-old singer and her 28-year-old fiancé have been dating since meeting and falling in love on the set of his medieval comedy Galavant last year, and now they’re planning a wedding. Their small engagement announcement in the Saturday edition of the broadsheet read: “The engagement is announced between Joshua, so of the late Dominic Sasse and of Mary Heale (née Macauley), of Herefordshire and Kylie, eldest daughter of Ronald and Carol Minogue, of Melbourne, Australia.” The notice appeared a day after reports of the engagement surfaced. Sasse was overheard announcing the engagement at an NME Awards after party in London last week and Kylie was wearing her diamond engagement ring at the bash.
Reports suggest Sasse proposed during a skiing vacation in Switzerland over the Christmas holidays, and Kylie has been wearing his ring since the beginning of the year. The actor’s family has ties to The Daily Telegraph, his great-grandfather, William Berry, bought the newspaper in the late 1920s. Kylie was previously engaged to Spanish model Andrés Velencoso, but the couple split in 2013.
