Kim Kardashian's Harper's Bazaar Arabia exclusive: 'Why I don't follow Trump'
Be sure to grab the September cover of Harper's Bazaar Arabia to see Kim Kardashian emulating Cher in a stunning photo shoot by Mariano Vivanco. “I always look up to other Armenian women,” Kim told our friends at Harper’s. “I have deep family roots that are similar to hers [Cher].”
She also exclusively told the magazine why she doesn’t follow Donald Trump on Twitter. In fact, Kim has no reservations opining on who should be the US President. “Not the President now. Anyone can run the US better. My daughter would be better,” she said. “We’ve worked so hard to get to where we were and to have so many things that we were so proud of in our country, to just literally revert backwards is the most frustrating thing. Every single day when you can’t really believe what’s going on, the next day it’s something else even more crazy and tragic,” she added. “It’s really scary, the world that we’re living in now. And when you did feel safe at home, now with Trump in presidency you just don’t feel safe anymore.” So does Kim follow Trump on Twitter? “I do not. I follow Obama though,” she admitted.
Kim also revealed that she would be launching an exclusive fragrance in the region. “I’ve always wanted to create a scent that the women in the Middle East would really like,” she said. “I’ve never had a scent that’s exclusive for the Middle East. I started to think how special it would be to have something that you spray on yourself that had those healing components in it. It’s like having good energy, good positive vibes,” she said.
Harper's Bazaar editor-in-chief Louise Nichol explained her choice of cover star: “Bazaar’s cover story with Kim pays tribute to another Armenian woman at the vanguard of style, Cher; a woman whose fashion choices 40 years ago must have caused as much of a furore as Kim’s provocative selfies do today.”
