Most women in their twenties wouldn’t be caught dead wearing their mum’s hand-me-downs unless their mother is Vivienne Westwood, or Mrs Middleton, apparently. For her first public address at a children’s hospice in Suffolk, England, Kate Middleton chose to recycle an old Reiss dress that her mum Carole borrowed off her two years ago to wear at the Royal Ascot races.
Whether Kate really loves blue high street dresses or whether it’s all a big publicity stunt remains to be seen (remember the cornflower blue Zara post-wedding dress?), but we think she definitely rocks the look better than her mother. Sorry, Carole.
