It’s a case of keep your friends close and your enemies closer for Justin Bieber who is set to record a track with love rival Niall Horan’s band One Direction. The singers became embroiled in a bitter feud after Niall, 18, recently hit on Justin’s girlfriend Selena Gomez at the Kids’ Choice Awards. Sources quoted in US gossip mag Star said that Bieber was “fuming” when Niall, whose band’s debut album Up All Night hit number one in US charts, and Selena “flirted shamelessly” in public right under Justin’s nose.
According to the source, Selena loved the attention but Justin was “stewing while it went down” and “ready to explode.” Justin is believed to have pulled Niall aside and reminded him that Selena already has a very famous boyfriend!
The incident is said to have added fuel to the feud that was already brewing between the Baby singer and One Direction, and it sounds like Justin wants to keep an eye on Niall as he’s asked One Direction to feature on his upcoming album Believe.
