My Fitness Fix
After a busy week at the studio I like to relax by practising yoga on the beach. I head down to Jumeira Beach early in the morning as it’s so quiet and the light is beautiful. I’ve practised yoga on and off for years but it wasn’t until I moved to Dubai that I started to focus on it and earn my teacher qualification.

Why I Love It
Not only does yoga help tone and strengthen your body, it also helps you centre yourself. The moves take some thinking about so you have to focus on what you’re doing. Yoga is all about energy and my favourite early morning move is the headstand that’s said to send this energy to your brain.

For all of those reasons I’ve just mentioned. I’d recommend that you book on to a beginners’ class at Zen Yoga (yoga.ae). I studied here and really enjoyed the classes.
