1 Liwa:Right in the heart of the Empty Quarter, Liwa promises to please. You will need a camping permit, so do your research before heading off to the dunes.

2 Fossil Rock in Al Ain:Yes it’s a long drive, but it’ll be worth it. For truly spectacular views, you can’t go wrong pitching your tent in this incredible location.

3 Hatta:Travel up towards the Hajar mountains and arrive early evening so you can watch the sun go down over the Wadis and pools.

4 Kalba:Is easily accessed as it is one of the entry points between Oman and the UAE. From here you can visit the surrounding mangroves. Kalba is home to some interesting and endangered species of birds so sit back and relax, listening to the gentle songs of the local wildlife.

5 Musandam:Along the stunning coastline of the Musandam there are little coves crying out to be pitched on. Grab your tent along with your snorkel and mask and castaway in to Oman – and this way, you can have a lovely bath in the clear blue waters in the morning too!
