Gisele Bundchen is the richest model in the world
Supermodel Gisele Bundchen has been named the highest paid model in the world, according to Forbes magazine, earning $128,000 (Dhs470,000) a day, more than some of the highest paid football players and even the Queen!
The last 12 months have been the biggest earning for the model who’s most recent campaigns include a Chanel No.5 campaign shot by Baz Luhrmann, and appearances for labels including Carolina Herrera, Isabel Marant, H&M and Louis Vuitton. Not to mention that her most recent jobs, campaigns with Emilio Pucci and Balenciaga which were announced after the Forbes article was released, suggesting she could be earning even more in the coming months!
Gisele, who has two children, Vivian, two and Benjamin, four, with her husband, American football player Tom Brady, also appeared at this year’s FIFA World Cup final, unveiling the winning trophy on centre stage.
It seems crazy that the Brazilian born beauty could earn such a staggering amount. In comparison to fellow models Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne, Gisele is higher in demand than anyone. Perhaps it’s due to the fact that the 33-year-old has aged so beautifully and never looks anything less than flawless. Go girl!
However, Gisele, who was also placed 56th in the magazine's annual Celebrity 100, has never confirmed her net worth and claims that the figures have been hugely overestimated.
She explained earlier this year: "It's sad, because the people who write these things don't have my bank account details. I do OK, I earn plenty, but not as much as they say. I've already been audited by the IRS because of this list and, truthfully, whether I'm on this list or not doesn't interest me."
