Look who we’ve spotted! Chelsea and England Defender Gary Cahill was seen watching the Germany and Argentina World Cup final on 13 July at the Emirates Golf Club Football Central in Dubai.

The 28-year-old English footballer currently plays for English club Chelsea FC, which has reportedly just offered Cahill a new contract at £120,000 a week.

Cahill joined Chelsea in 2012 from Bolton Wanderers, and this new contract is set to keep the defender at Stamford Bridge – Chelsea’s London stadium – for another four years.

Cahill played on England’s national football team at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. The Three Lions tied with Costa Rica in their first game of the Group Stages, but eventually lost to Italy and Uruguay.

The Sheffield-born Englishman was at the Emirates Golf Club’s Football Central with former Rugby Union Captain Rory Lawson who retired from the Newcastle Falcons, a Scottish Rugby union team, in 2013 after a chronic wrist injury. Lawson played 31 times for Scotland before being forced to retire at the age of 32.

The pair was spotted enjoying the FIFA World Cup Final at the Golf Club with Dubai Golf CEO Chris May and Emirates Golf Club's Director of Golf Barney Coleman.
