A Floating Market Is Coming To Dubai
Will Dubai ever run short of ways to keep both its residents and tourists, entertained? Absolutely not! And the latest plan the city has to keep us busy is a floating market.
Yes, you read that right. You will now be able to shop on board an abra.
Allow us to fill you in. BEYOUland is bringing you the first ever floating boutique at Al Seef, Dubai. Partnering with Meraas, the giant behind cool projects like La Mer, The Yard and City Walk, the floating boutique is set to mark the beginning of traditional souq and bazaars of UAE, paying homage to Dubai’s rich history.
Brainchild of Her Highness Sheikha Maytha Bin Hasher Al Maktoum, founder of BEYOU Group, the creative concept will see 17 abra-like boats turned into pop-up boutiques featuring host of regional and international brands. Expect everything from fashion to souvenirs, food, art and other recreational services in a fully air conditioned boat, ready to sail. Cool, right!
Exact floating date of the project has not been announced as yet, however, it is expected to set sail in May.
