Inspired by the art of watercolour painting, the Fatema Fardan x Symphony Ramadan collection for 2015 offers a concise edit of classically feminine pieces for the holy month, with floral details that capture the essence of summer and the joy of creative expression.

Through exploring the art of watercolour and playing with the painting technique, Emirati designer Fardan developed a stunning array of floral motifs that adorn classic kaftans in luxurious silks, intricately detailed lace coats and stunning printed dresses. The floral details appear with a playful spirit, overlaid on a handpainted geometric motif. With the hand-painted floral print scattered across light-as-air silk kaftans, the blooms appear to be almost caught in the breeze, suspended in the air.

The collection consists of four looks that range from classic summer silhouettes of The Romance Kaftan and Arabian Nights Kaftan through to more sophisticated and intricate pieces like the Fantasia Floral Coat, crafted from Printed Guipure Lace. In a whimsical palette of off-white, rose pink, sky blue and pale green, each piece reflects the natural tones of nature and the beauty of summer blooms.
