Question (Q): What would you be doing if you were not a singer and actress?
Zooey Deschanel (ZD):I have a lot of things I think I could do, like producing music or films. Whatever it is, I would have to always be doing something creative.
Q: You are an actress, singer and now a brand ambassador for Rimmel; which of these roles do you prefer and why?
ZD:Well I love them all of course, but writing music is my passion.
Q: Who have been your greatest influences?
ZD:My parents.
Q: What is your favourite song?
ZD:"Wouldn't it be Nice" by the Beach Boys, "This Will Be Our Year" by the Zombies, "You've Got to Learn" by Nina Simone

ZD:My mother has a very unique style that is solely hers. She is never afraid to be herself.
Q: What is the most treasured item in your wardrobe?
ZD:A Courreges military coat from the sixties.

ZD:Erin Fetherston
Q: What is the accessory you cannot live without?
ZD:I don't wear many accessories but I would have to say sunglasses because I live in California.
Q: What is this season’s must have?
ZD:I don't really pay any attention to "must haves." I believe in classic pieces which will last more than one season. "Must haves" seem very frivolous to me.
