It's more good times
ahead for Dubomedy, co-founded by two of our fave comics, Ali Al Sayed and Mina
Liccione. Dubomedy's just become the first UAE-based arts organisation to be
invited to teach and perform in Athens as part of the Theatre For Change
International Festival next week, and, later, Ali and Mina participate in the legendary
Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
The duo will be leading two workshops especially designed for the fest mixing comedy,
rhythm, writing and truthful storytelling. Following Greece, they will head to
Kuwait, Canada and New York to perform. The last stop on their International
tour will be Scotland and the Edinburgh Fringe Fest.
Dubai Laughing and Dubomedy have collaborated to create the first UAE-produced comedy show to be part of the fest. The standup comedy show is called Big In Dubai and will feature Ray Addison and Jamie Johnson, host Mina and headlining act Ali.
Want to catch them before they head out? The two Brits, Arab and American will be holding a send off show here in Dubai on July 4 at The Address Dubai Marina. Called The Road to Edinburgh, the event will be hosted by Omar Ismail. All proceeds from ticket sales will support the Edinburgh tour. We'll see you there!
