Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the closure of Al Maktoum Bridge, also known as the Floating Bridge, for maintenance work.

The bridge will be closed to both road and marine traffic every Friday this weekend onwards, starting from October 27, 2017 until November 24, 2017, from 1am to 9am. Marine traffic will be limited to Sundays and Thursdays between 1am to 5am.

During the closure of Al Maktoum Bridge, traffic will be diverted to alternative routes including Al Shandagha Tunnel, Al Garhoud Bridge and the Business Bay Crossing, in addition to exit points on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, reports Gulf News.
