Ten years from now... I'll have retired from competitive sport and will be spreading the message of health, fitness and wellbeing through Hayemaker Gym and Beach

British former Cruiserweight and Heavyweight boxing champion David is an accomplished sportsman who has held a near-perfect record of wins since turning professional back in 2002. However, when he sustained a shoulder injury last year – which saw him hint at potentially retiring from ring – David decided to explore other endeavours. So where better to start than the land of opportunity that is Dubai? Arriving in summer last year, with a concept in mind that would combine a high-end gym with a healthy-eating restaurant, David secured the perfect location: the Boulevard Plaza Tower 2, located in the world’s most prestigious square kilometre, Downtown.

Titled after his nickname in the ring, the Hayemaker Gym aims to bring a new dimension in the world of fitness by equipping each of its clients to achieve the best physical shape of their lives through state-of-the-art equipment, instruction and guidance. Meanwhile, while many of us undo that gruelling calorie-burning in the gym by eating the wrong foods, Bench, David’s in-house restaurant, is committed to ensuring that you stay on track by delivering only clean food to fuel your progress. If he’s leading by example with that body, bring it on!
