Dane in the Desert: Panto fun, yummy seafood and where to eat
PANTO FUN IN THE UK
I took a little trip back home last week to attend a press shoot and launch for my upcoming role in the Peter Pan pantomime. I will play Hook, Pan’s arch nemesis, this December. If you are visiting the UK over Christmas, come and see me at the Epstein Theatre in Liverpool! I actually can’t wait to play the baddie for this one… I can legitimately get booed and it’s okay!

LOCAL, TRYP BY WYNDHAM, BARSHA HEIGHTS
Barsha Heights (formerly known as Tecom) has recently acquired a brand new hotel, which is very exciting. TRYP by Wyndham is part of the Wyndham chain, with one of the hotels located in Dubai Marina. I have a lot of lunch meetings, so I’m always on the lookout for new places. TRYP’s eatery, Local, is a great find. It’s a bright and airy restaurant serving a great business lunch on top of an already great menu. I sampled the jerk marinated grilled spatchcock chicken, which was really well presented and just the right portion size for lunch. I tried to resist dessert but couldn’t, so I ordered the chocolate brownie with caramelised banana chips as a treat. It was delicious.
