Daisy Lowe Spills on Tommy Hilfiger
She’s just been named the new face of Tommy Hilfiger’s fragrance LOUD which is launching in stores across the UAE on February 1st fast tracking Daisy Lowe’s wild child ways into a household name. The rock’n’roll heiress, model, musician and fashion designer who has graced the covers of Vogue, W, Dazed and i-D has now lent her face to the LOUD for Her perfume.
“I was really excited to be chosen,” she said. “Everyone wants to be the girl in the ad. I think LOUD is such an amazing concept. To have a fragrance and mix music into the concept is really styling.”
The new scent which was developed by Tommy Hilfiger is a delicious mix of scents with patchouli as the top note. “The smell of patchouli – it’s such a comforting smell to me,” spilled Daisy. “The smell of incense always reminds me of my fairy godmother because she’s quite an amazing hippy.”
Daisy shot the campaign with Josh Beech a British model and musician who was the face of LOUD for Him. “It’s absolutely amazing to share the spotlight with Josh Beech,” continued Daisy. “It was a little bit difficult not to laugh while on the set, but I’m sure loads of teenage girls will be really jealous that I get to jump around with him.” Daisy says that “the jumping around and being crazy” part was the best bit of the whole shoot. “I’m in a band and that’s how I am anyway. I’m this crazy jumping around person. So when I get to do that for a job, it’s pretty cool.”
As a British style icon Daisy drew on her music roots for the role in the perfume ad but says she likes to incorporate role playing into her daily dress sense too. “One day, I’ll dress up as a doll, or a grungy kid, or like a pirate, or a sailor.”
Despite Daisy’s A-list lifestyle she prefers to be surrounded by friends, music and food when she’s not travelling the world. “In my free time I love being with my dog. I’ve got a little Maltese and I love just running around with him and taking him for four-hour runs and walks. I love cooking. I’ve set up my house so that it just turns into a giant commune. Whenever I get home after traveling for ages, I just have 20 people over and cook for everyone. I do it every night until I’m really exhausted. Once that’s out of my system, I just love dancing around and singing on my own.”
Tommy Hilfiger’s LOUD fragrances will be available in store from February 1st at Paris Gallery, Debenhams and Areej. Prices start from Dhs157 for the 40mL bottles.
